Compass Project – Updated

22 January 2014

Scout Headquarters is launching a new membership system for adults and youths called Compass in 2014 and each district / county has to make sure they are in the right position.

For Altrincham and District, Anthony Roberts has been asked to head up the district changeover. To support with this change every group is to send Anthony the name of someone who can support with the change over the coming months, details have been sent to Group Scout Leaders and Group Contacts. The key points to ensure we are ready for the new system are:

  1.  Someone from each section (eg, cubs, beavers, scouts, etc) from each group can access the current system at
  2. Roles are recorded correctly in the system
  3. All awards are recorded on the system and are accurate
  4. On Training page relevant learning plans are their for roles undertaken and previous wood badges are recorded
  5. Relevant permits exist on the system under Permits tab
  6. When requested for lists of youths in section this information is supplied quickly and accurately, so headquarters can add the youths to the system for us

If any of the information is not correct please fill in the form at the bottom of the page.

The new membership system is meant to be more stable and reliable than the current system, and to offer most of the features currently offered by Online Scout Manger.

If you have any questions on the new system please use the form at the bottom of the page.

Training for the new system will be offered nearer the time of launch.

Several videos have been produced by a Scouter and these are available to view from a dropbox folder
