On Friday 16th December the Cubs from Altrincham District met at Dunham Park Scout Camp to re-new their promise just like the thousands of other Cubs from around the nation to celebrate the creation of the Wolf Cubs 100 years ago.  Over the 100 Years many things have changed, the uniform, the Badges and even the name but some things will never change such as the Cubs thirst for adventure, their enthusiasm and their sense of Fun. The 2015 Jamboree will be held in Japan.
Over the course of a week 3 applicants from Altrincham District were selected. These are Alice (Fox Explorers), Richard (Panther Explorers) and Will (Snowdon Explorers). They are part of Unit 57 and are partnered with Explorers from across the County and Chesire County.

Over the May bank holiday weekend the district held a Scouting Traditions camp for Cubs at Cub Warren. 15 cubs came together from 2 groups on the district and practiced skills of Pioneering, Camp Fire Lighting, Backwoods Cooking and Erecting Patrol Tents.
Over the course of the weekend each cub completed at least 4 badges and had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

3rd Davyhulme Scout & Guide Band Concert

The concert given by the 3rd Davyhulme  Scout & Guide Band was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who  ventured out on Saturday evening. The surprise is that the roof is still on at the Assembly rooms on Cecil Rd in Hale. We enjoyed rousing marches and modern themed music, there was a young man who was brilliant on the drums and who nearly stole the show.
